Data & Privacy

TLDR: your journal entries are encrypted before they're stored. We don't sell your data. We don't share it. You can delete everything at any time.

What we collect

How your entries are stored

Every journal entry is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before it's written to the database. This is the same encryption standard used in banking and secure messaging. The encryption key is never stored alongside your data.

Your entries are decrypted in memory only — when you view them in the dashboard or when your weekly report is generated. They are never stored in plaintext.

How the AI works

Every Sunday, Klawdin generates your weekly pattern report using an AI model. Here's exactly what happens — and what doesn't.

The AI receives only the text of your journal entries for that week — nothing else. No name, no email, no phone number, no Google account, no user ID. It has no way of knowing who you are. It simply reads a set of anonymous responses and identifies a thinking pattern.

Think of it this way: on our end, we look up your entries by your account ID and pass just the text to the AI. The AI reads that text, writes a short report, and that's it. It doesn't store anything, it doesn't learn from your entries, and it has no connection to your identity.

The report is sent over an encrypted connection to the AI provider. We do not use your entries to train any AI models.

SMS delivery

SMS delivery is handled by our messaging provider. Your phone number is shared with them solely for the purpose of sending and receiving messages. Their privacy policy governs how they handle that data.

What we don't do

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. All your journal entries, weekly reports, phone number, and account data are permanently and immediately deleted. There is no recovery after deletion.
